How ArizonAdopt a Classroom works:

Referral from the Principal

To receive consideration for donations, the principal and the teacher fill out the Referral Form with a monetary request and return it to the committee.

A classroom is selected

The teacher is contacted through the principal when a sponsor is found, and an appointment is made to meet the sponsor.

Teacher orders classroom supplies

Teacher selects or orders teaching materials to enrich the classroom.

Sponsor purchases supplies

We hope that the sponsor will meet the teacher to assist with buying, but if that's not possible, we can send the sponsor an itemized invoice reflecting how the donation was spent.

Correspondence and interaction

The teacher and students of the adopted classroom send photos to the sponsor. Sponsors may visist the classroom and become as proactive as their schedule permits.

Lasting relationship

If sponsors choose to participate in subsequent years, they enjoy the cumulative effect of efforts with each new class of students, as well as develop a lasting and meaningful relationshop with the classroom teacher.

ArizonAdopt a Classroom connects the resources of the community to the classroom and increases both teachers' and students' chances for success.

Teachers are spending an average of $800 of their own money each year just to meet basic classroom needs, going out of pocket despite being underpaid and under-appreciated. Why? Because of their passion for providing their students with the best possible education.

We recognize teachers as the single most important factor toward student success. Teachers need our help—bboth morally and financially, and we encourage you to take an active role in your community's schools by adopting and individual classroom.

Your contribution to a classroom enables you to make a direct, measurable impact upon our children's success, and ultimately, our community's future.

Every penny of your donation goes to the classroom—therethere are no administrative costs for this committee.
